Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why doesn't the cost of buying a row creator go down when I delete one of my rows?
- A: It can take up to 5 minutes for the row creator cost to update[1], just wait, it will.
Q: Why does the Costs Spreadsheet say it takes 38 days to break even with 15 money factories when the total cost is 655,320, which will be recovered in just over 5 days?
- A: The break-even time shows how long it takes to make up the expense of buying the one most recent factory. If you only had 14 money factories, after 37 days, you'd have more money than with 15. But after the 38th day, the 15th money factory will have paid for itself.
Q: How do some rows have a DM more than their AM+2? (e.g. single-digit rows on shard 2)
- A: For the first four days of game play, there was no restriction on DM. That wasn't put into place until Aug 27, 2008.
Q: How did shard 2, row 7 get a DM of 10,001.0? That would cost about 10^3013 money!
- A: There was a bug that let you transfer money to yourself for free, in effect doubling it every time. It was fixed soon after discovery, so not too many people were able to exploit it.
Q: Are multiple logins for the same person allowed?
- A: There are no technical means possible to determine that two accounts are the same person. The main reason for desiring multiple accounts is "to gain an unfair advantage over people playing the game as it was designed" which happens to be the same goal as any other method of cheating.
